Fisher Industries in Dickinson, ND is seeking a Heavy Construction Equipment Operator to run skid steer, loader, dozer, crusher, or excavator on project sites. Travel is required, and daily equipment maintenance is part of the role.

This position includes a $1000 sign-on bonus after 90 days and a safety-first culture rooted in family values. You will perform pre-shift inspections, operate equipment efficiently, and support plant setup and teardown as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Able to operate equipment to meet project specs.
  • Mechanical knowledge of equipment and routine maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Team-oriented and safety-conscious.
  • MSHA Part 46/48 or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals.
  • Assist with setup and tear down of plants.
  • Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor.
  • General housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed by supervisor.
  • Lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis.
  • Use a shovel to move material as needed.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.

POSITION SCOPE

The Heavy Construction Equipment Operator must be able to operate a skid steer, loader, dozer, crusher, or excavator according to project specifications. The individual will be responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment daily.

This position does require travel.

$1000 Sign-On bonus payable after 90 days

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
  • Assist with setup and tear down of plants
  • Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
  • General housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed by supervisor
  • Individuals must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis
  • The use of a shovel to move material will be necessary
  • Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy
  • Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
  • Safety, Safety, Safety - comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards of safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Able to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specifications
  • Mechanical knowledge of equipment and being able to perform routine maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of welding and using a cutting torch
  • Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy is required
  • MSHA part 46 and/or part 48 or willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification
  • Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, rain, and snow
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is required
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Travel will be required
