Position Overview

This position is posted at the Principal Engineer or Consultant Engineer level. The successful candidate will be hired based on their skills and experience. The role involves providing technical leadership, developing advanced technologies, and serving as a key technical resource within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Apply extensive technical expertise and contribute to the development of new principles and standards.
• Lead investigations and projects of broad technical interest, often requiring innovative approaches.
• Manage technical scope of critical, complex, and multi-year projects.
• Serve as a technical authority and strategic consultant to top management.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and oversee technical teams as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 9+ years of relevant engineering experience with PE registration or 15+ years without PE.
• Ability to demonstrate technical expertise and competencies.

Position Details

Based in NSP with remote support to other regions. Up to 25% travel required for consulting level. Salary range: $109,300 - $152,766.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering preferred.
• NERC regulatory experience, especially with electrical components and renewables.
