Additional Responsibilities Include:

1. Evaluate equipment integrity and reliability, identify hazards, and recommend risk improvements to reduce equipment risk.
2. Use operating standards, data sheets, and guides to provide risk guidance and implement best practices.
3. Prepare engineering reports and loss expectancies to support risk improvements.
4. Collaborate with Operations Engineering, Client Services, Account Management, and Underwriting on Boiler & Machinery recommendations.
5. Work independently from a home office, managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
6. This is a field-based role requiring travel to industrial client sites to evaluate operations, systems, and identify risks and hazards.
7. Job title and grade may vary based on experience.
8. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, with emphasis on Power Generation or Chemical engineering preferred.
9. 1-5 years’ experience in high hazard industries such as power generation, chemical, nuclear, mining, pulp & paper, manufacturing, or maritime.
10. Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical power generation, equipment, systems, and safety devices. Industrial Control Systems experience is highly desired.
11. Basic machinery and equipment understanding with hands-on exposure.
12. Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office.
13. Analytical, organized, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
14. Valid driver’s license required; company car provided.
15. Ability to travel approximately 50-75 nights per year, including training periods.
