Job summary

Performance Foodservice in the United States is seeking a Transportation Supervisor responsible for supervision and training of drivers, ensuring deliveries are safe, efficient, and timely, and for monitoring DOT logs and compliance with all regulations.

You will manage staffing, coaching, scheduling, and payroll input, maintain vehicle safety and equipment, and collaborate with the Transportation/Operations Manager to optimize routes and control costs while upholding a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Supervisory and training experience in transportation.
• Knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience with fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Assists in scheduling and ensures deliveries/pickups are timely.
• Rides with drivers for training or evaluation as needed.
• Monitors DOT logs and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Coordinates tracking of driver information such as licenses and incidents.
• Ensures completion of delivery paperwork and reports.
• Maintains trucks, tractors and trailers through post-trip inspections.
• Works with management to minimize operating expenses and optimize routes.
