Job summary

Werner Enterprises, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a Fleet Manager in Atlanta to build and maintain driver relationships, coordinate loads, and optimize operations across departments. You will work with dedicated managers to align driver needs with freight opportunities and ensure service levels meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics or 2–3 years in fleet management, plus 6–12 months supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred or 2–3 years of fleet management/transportation experience.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to operate a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships and address driver needs (home time, payroll, equipment issues, etc.).
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and timelines.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and service expectations to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with departments such as billing, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with Managers to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Maintain timely and regular attendance according to shift schedule.
