Job summary

World Trade Logistics (WTL) is seeking a dispatch coordinator to organize daily driver routes and monitor GPS-enabled delivery progress. You will communicate route changes, maintain logs, and coordinate maintenance while ensuring policy compliance.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in dispatching, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and GPS/TMS tools. The role runs Monday–Friday with after-hours support as needed, in the Halethorpe/Baltimore area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of dispatching experience in cartage/truck transport.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities are necessary.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) is expected.
• Experience with routing, GPS tracking, or transportation management systems preferred.
• Knowledge of the Baltimore-Washington-Northern Virginia corridor is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate drivers for daily pickup and delivery routes.
• Monitor vehicle locations and route progress using Samsara GPS platform.
• Communicate route changes, delays, and customer requirements to drivers.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and daily activity logs.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and repairs.
• Assist with driver scheduling and timekeeping.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding deliveries and service status.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Track and report key operational metrics and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with management to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.
