Job summary

United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider seeking a dispatcher for our Galveston branch. The role involves scheduling drivers, dispatching equipment, and handling customer orders for deliveries, pickups, and service.

You will coordinate urgent field repairs, review driver schedules, and support the Inside sales team as needed. A high school diploma, valid license, and DOT knowledge are required, with strong customer service and safety focus being essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSR rules and safety procedures.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and organize dispatch of all equipment for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules to fulfill requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
