Job summary

White Cap is seeking a logistics-focused professional to establish and maintain performance metrics and cost management for delivery services and fleet operations. You will drive efficiency, coordinate with branches, and ensure service levels are met to support company objectives.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, collaboration with multiple departments, and adherence to safety and DOT requirements while optimizing routes and schedules for timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline; 7+ years of experience.
• Experience in fleet management and cost control.
• Ability to coordinate across branches and union/non-union sites.

Responsibilities

• Eliminate inter-branch freight expenses by optimizing truck space and routing.
• Improve delivery services by reducing fleet costs and increasing revenue per vehicle.
• Manage routing queue and review DOT weight and Hazmat requirements.
• Utilize Descartes and Geotab for route planning, dispatching, GPS tracking.
• Plan deliveries to meet service level agreements and analyze tickets.
• Capture/inventory across branches to optimize distribution.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and lease agreements with branches.
• Communicate with supervisors on driver credentials and scheduling.
