The role requires strong leadership of fleet supervisors, drivers, and maintenance staff, with collaboration across Operations, Safety, Logistics, and Finance to meet company goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long-term fleet strategy aligned with growth.
• Lead fleet supervisors, dispatchers, mechanics, and drivers.
• Set fleet KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and safety standards.
• Manage vehicle acquisition, leasing, and disposal.
• Coordinate vendor management to secure competitive pricing.
• Maintain accurate inspections, repairs, and parts records.

The Fleet Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance of the company’s fleet operations, which include diesel transport trucks, delivery vehicles, and support equipment. This role oversees fleet maintenance, asset management, driver performance, route optimization, and fuel cost control to ensure reliable and efficient product distribution. The Fleet Director is a key member of the leadership team and works closely with Operations, Safety, Logistics, and Finance to support company goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a long-term fleet strategy aligned with company growth and service objectives.

Lead and mentor fleet supervisors, dispatchers, mechanics, and drivers.

Set fleet performance KPIs and oversee continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintenance & Asset Management

Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards.

Manage acquisition, leasing, replacement, and disposal of fleet vehicles.

Partner with vendors and service providers to secure competitive pricing and reliable support.

Ensure accurate recordkeeping for inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
