Job summary

JLL is seeking a skilled Truck Repair Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair a diverse fleet of trucks to ensure safe, reliable operations. The role is on-site in Lake Orion, MI, with a 2nd shift and potential overtime.

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 3–5 years of truck repair experience and ASE certifications preferred. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and CMMS is expected; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in truck repair and maintenance (diesel and gasoline engines).
• ASE certifications in Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Diesel Engines, or Medium/Heavy Truck preferred.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, CMMS, and standard shop equipment.
• CDL is a plus or valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures on trucks using diagnostic tools and CMMS.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and DOT compliance checks.
• Repair or replace defective components (starters, alternators, fuel/cooling/hydraulic systems).
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and service histories in CMMS.
• Respond to emergency service calls and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with fleet supervisors to prioritize work and ensure timely Turnaround.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with OSHA and safety protocols.
