Job summary

Travel-Plaza-Transportation,-LLC seeks an experienced Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of motorcoaches and service vehicles on-site in Hawaii. You will perform preventive maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, and engine work, and assist during road emergencies.

You must have a CDL B with passenger endorsement, 5+ years of mechanical experience, and ASE certifications. The role includes shift work, safety, and record-keeping duties in a busy maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years mechanical experience and training in electronic, diesel, air brakes, and cooling systems.
• CDL B license with passenger endorsement required.
• ASE certifications H4, H8, H5, H7, H6 or MCI equivalent training.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspections, diagnostics and repair of motorcoaches, diesel and gasoline engines, and service vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections per schedule for all vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and identify problems; repair malfunctioning vehicles/equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of time and materials and ensure shop cleanliness.
• Orient and train new mechanic employees and assist during emergency road calls.
