Position Details:

Our Clarke Vehicare team is looking for a Fleet Diesel Mechanic to maintain our commitment to safety and customer service. This role involves performing heavy-duty truck and automotive repairs and maintenance, including diagnostics.

What are the duties?

• Maintain and repair a dedicated fleet of vehicles including heavy-duty trucks, trailers, MHE, and automobiles.
• Perform preventive maintenance, engine repairs, brake work, A/C servicing, diagnostics, etc.
• Fabricate and weld steel and aluminum components.
• Use laptops, tablets, or smartphones for record keeping.
• Work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Standard tools are required; large shop tools are provided.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting; ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to read and write reports.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Education and Experience:

• Certificate or degree from college or technical school with 2-4 years of diesel repair experience, or equivalent training and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

• Valid Driver's License
• CDL or ability to acquire CDL
• ASE certifications are a plus
• NYS Inspector License or ability to obtain one
