Job summary

George's Inc. in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and replace components on our fleet vehicles and equipment at the Edinburg Truck Shop.

You will identify problems with diagnostic tools, plan work procedures, test parts and systems, and perform preventive maintenance. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid state driver’s license; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid State Driver's license and be approved to drive per Fleet Safety Program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of repair, overhaul and replacement of major truck components.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair fleet vehicles and equipment for George's Inc.
• Identify problems on fleet vehicles and equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Perform equipment diagnostics and troubleshoot to estimate repair costs.
• Plan work procedures using charts, manuals and experience.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.
