Job summary

Mike Hudson Dist is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of warehouse and delivery drivers in Union City, CA. You will schedule personnel, assign routes, ensure delivery obligations, and maintain regulatory compliance with USDOT requirements.

The role involves training drivers, maintaining driver files, updating schedules, and leading safety and performance initiatives across the team. On-site position with regular reporting to Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant experience in warehouse or driver supervision.
• Familiarity with vehicle operations and routing.
• Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of warehouse/driver personnel including route assignments, vehicle assignments, customer deliveries and vendor pick-ups.
• Ensure compliance with USDOT requirements and other regulatory bodies related to vehicle use, maintenance and medical certifications.
• Train warehouse/driver personnel to required standards and complete periodic evaluations of driver performance.
• Maintain USDOT-required driver files and update work/duty schedules.
• Ensure vehicles meet maintenance standards, are clean, and dispatch/vehicle records are kept.
• Respond to and resolve customer complaints, coordinating with sales and applying corrective actions as needed.
• Train staff in material handling both on and off the vehicle and monitor performance with road-testing as needed.
