Job summary

Johnson Brothers Maverick of Texas is seeking a full-time administrative professional to support statewide transportation operations. You will help maintain driver compliance records, process accounts payable, and coordinate equipment orders, contributing to efficient logistics in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years in a large-scale distribution setting, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a high-velocity large-scale distribution or logistics role.
• Experience with online driver compliance systems; JJ Keller preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support statewide transportation department administratively.
• Maintain driver compliance records in online vault/management system.
• Assist in administrative aspects of the new-hire process.
• Manage statewide uniform program and ordering.
• Review and circulate driver metrics to cross dock locations.
• Coordinate equipment orders with centralized departments (phones, printers, eld devices).
• Process fleet accounts payable after manager approval.
• Book overnight driver routes and submit receipts for expenses.
• Support transportation team with additional admin tasks as needed.
• Process annual truck registrations, DOT renewals, and Heavy Weight Tax.

Responsibilities

• Supports statewide transportation department administratively
• Maintains driver compliance records through online document vault and management system
• Assists in new hire process from the administrative side
• Manages statewide uniform program and ordering
• Reviews and circulates driver metrics to all cross dock locations
• Works closely with centralized corporate departments on equipment ordering such as driver phones, printers, and eld device ordering and returns processes
• Manages fleet-based accounts payable process, submitting of invoices once manager approval has been obtained for processing
• Books overnight driver routes accommodations and submits receipts completing expense reports for driver issued cards and expenses.
• Supports the transportation team in additional administrative and coordination tasks as needed.
• Annual truck registration processing as well as DOT renewals and Heavy Weight Tax processing

Experience requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a high velocity large scale distribution or logistics organization in a similar role
• Proven experience with an online driver compliance system - JJ Keller experience considered a plus
• Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience navigation Electronic Logg Systems such as Samsara or a similar application
• Experience and proficient in Microsoft tools such as excel, word, teams and outlook
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
