Job summary

Cobb County Government is seeking Automotive Technician I-III to perform routine maintenance and repairs on county vehicles and equipment. Tech I focuses on preventive maintenance, Tech II handles more complex repairs and diagnostics, and Tech III leads the most complex work and provides training to others.

All roles require a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; ASE certifications are preferred for senior technician levels. Competitive hourly wages apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational automotive training preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for Automotive Tech I, II and III.
• ASE certifications preferred for Tech II/III.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and light repairs on County-owned vehicles and equipment.
• Assists with more complex repairs and diagnostic tasks as Tech II.
• Leads and trains others in complex diagnosis and repair as Tech III.
