Job summary

City of Shreveport is seeking an Automotive Services Attendant II to assist fleet services staff in maintaining City-owned vehicles including cars, buses and heavy equipment. You will perform essential tire and part replacements, inventory coordination, and support other shop duties to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic automotive service experience, and strong customer service for internal customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or the equivalent.
• Two years of experience in automotive service work preferred.
• Customer service skills towards internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Changes tires, tubes and fuses of City vehicles.
• Notifies higher authority when necessary to reorder tires and related materials to insure adequate stock on hand.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
