Job summary

UPS is currently seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. Will maintain a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy duty on road tractors and trailers from a variety of manufacturers.

Powered vehicle propulsion includes diesel, gasoline and alternative technology power plants... Automotive Technicians must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B CDL - preferred.
• Travel - required.
• Works 8–10 hour shifts, 4–5 days per week.
• Dependable with regular and timely attendance.
• Able to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Wears PPE and works in variable environments.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements as assigned.
• Bends, stoops, squats, climbs stairs, and stands for extended periods.
• Operates standard and manual transmission vehicles.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
• Ensure safety procedures and proper job safety conditions.
• Maintain and repair a range of vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks.
