Job summary

UPS in Parsippany, NJ is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty tractors, and trailers across various manufacturers, using your own hand tools.

The role requires experience with diesel/gas engines and alternative propulsion tech, plus DOT compliance and ability to work 2nd/3rd shifts. We offer weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A CDL (Preferred)
• Available for varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty tractors, and trailers.
• Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
• Adapts to varying shifts (including 2nd/3rd) and works to support essential operations.
