Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician in Chicago to diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, steering, electrical and related systems. You will perform road calls and ensure all work meets safety standards in a fast-paced fleet environment.

The ideal candidate has a 310T/310S certification, at least 3 years of heavy fleet experience, and strong diagnostic and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Certified technician with 310T or 310S certification.
• Minimum 3 years of fleet maintenance in heavy-duty shop settings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair diesel/gas engines, transmissions, steering and electrical systems.
• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and safety.
• Coordinate inspections and approve major repairs before release.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with regulations.
• Record time, parts used, and work performed.
• Report unsafe conditions to Lead Technician.
• Perform on-the-road repairs as needed.
