Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. The technician will maintain a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers with propulsion systems from diesel to hybrid and electric in some locations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems and engine controls. Shifts may include 2nd or 3rd shifts and varying schedules by location.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Class A/B or A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
