Job summary

Constellis is seeking an Automotive Technician II to repair, overhaul, and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment. The role offers a pay range of $22.00 - $29.00 per hour with two shifts in a busy service center environment.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, 5 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent training, and a CA driver's license. ASE certifications are preferred, with strong problem-solving and adaptability to a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/Technical training in automotive repair with 5 years of experience or equivalent.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• ASE A5 certification preferred.
• ASE Master Automotive Technician or Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician preferred.
• Strong communication skills with all organizational levels.
• Excellent time management and prioritization.
• Analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability to changing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repair and maintenance on gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment, including bearings, seals, and brake components.
• Disassemble components and inspect parts for wear.
• Repair and overhaul pumps, AC components, compressors, radiators, etc.
• Rewire electrical systems.
• Replace, realign, and adjust brakes and suspension components.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions across systems.
• Tune and repair diesel engines.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic systems; check for leaks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect fluids, lights, and exhaust components.
• Cover shifts at other shops in the zone as needed.
• Work in a busy service center; outdoor conditions and PPE required; two shifts Monday–Friday.
