We are looking for excited, dynamic, tech-savvy team members to join our US Operations team. The seasonal position (August through May/June) of a Fleet Attendant requires you to help run the daily operations of an innovative food delivery service.

The environment will be similar to a fast-paced restaurant/workshop while allowing you to work directly with our autonomous robots. Fleet Attendants will execute start-of-day or end-of-day charging and cleaning of the robot fleet, repair robots throughout the shift, troubleshoot unexpected situations, and work effectively as a team to ensure exceptional delivery service from vendors to customers.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Service Tasks

• Cleaning and detailing the robot fleet to ensure they look great inside and out.
• Ensuring robots are in service, charged, and ready for deployment, including deploying or returning robots with necessary equipment.
• Transporting robots to delivery areas by ebike or foot, including occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs.
• Performing weekly Merchant Preflights to identify service issues and troubleshooting operational problems.
• Assisting robots in unexpected situations and reporting issues to the onsite team.

Technical Tasks

• Maintaining robot health through basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Managing warehouse inventories and maintaining the hub.
• Participating in online training followed by onsite training with a technician or trainer.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Enthusiastic about working with robots and technology.
• Interested in being part of an innovative and inspiring company.
• Responsible and able to represent Starship professionally.
• Independent, proactive, and adaptable to unexpected situations.
• Capable of working indoors and outdoors.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience with electronics is a plus.
• Willingness to learn to use hand and power tools.
• Availability for weekend, morning, and/or evening shifts is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity for frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements, and full-body exertion.
• Occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs.
• Comfort riding an ebike on various terrains.
