Job summary

Champions Group Holdings is seeking a Fleet & Asset Operations Manager to lead fixed asset management across fleet, capital equipment, and facilities. The role drives asset performance, risk mitigation, and cost management, leveraging data-driven decision making and capital planning.

You will coordinate with field operations, finance, and brand leaders to standardize practices, optimize utilization, and enhance safety and service quality across multiple brands.

  • Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with fleet vendors and insurers, seeking cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and repair programs to maximize uptime and asset life.
  • Ensure fleet compliance with DOT, OSHA, emissions and licensing requirements.

Job Summary

The Fleet & Asset Operations Manager is a key member of the Business Operations organization and is responsible for all areas of fixed asset management, including fleet, capital equipment, and facilities. The Fleet & Asset Operations Manager is the primary driver of asset performance, fleet & asset strategy and standardization across brands, improvement efforts, issue resolution, risk mitigation, safety, cost management and on-going continuous improvement. They will support optimizing multimillion annual asset spend via data driven decision making and capital planning.

  • Implement Strategies: Develop and execute multi-year strategies to improve fleet and asset utilization, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Partnerships: Partner with Field Operations, Finance, and Brand leaders to ensure fleet and fixed assets, and facility supports revenue growth and service excellence.
  • Data Analysis: Build and leverage asset analytics and reporting capabilities to enable data-driven decisions. Translate data into actionable insights for operations leaders. Standardize reporting across all brands for visibility and accountability.
  • Leadership: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and define best-in-class practices for drivers and vehicles, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Change Management & Influence: Lead enterprise-wide change initiatives across multiple brands with varying maturity levels. Influence stakeholders without direct authority to drive adoption of standardized programs. Build strong relationships with field leaders to ensure alignment and execution
  • Fleet Operations: Oversee Fleet Operations: Serves as the primary liaison between field operations, home office, and fleet management company to ensure that vehicle data, programs and policies are in place and accurate. Manage daily operations of our fleet, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Vendor Management: Work with fleet management company, vehicle vendors, repair facilities, insurance providers/brokers and others to ensure optimal performance of fleet. Identify potential cost savings through active negotiations. Own relationships with: Fleet Management Companies (Holman), Telematics Companies (Samsara), OEMs and Vehicle Suppliers, Maintenance networks and fuel providers.
  • Repair & Maintenance (R&M): Oversee preventive maintenance and repair programs across the fleet to maximize vehicle uptime and useful life. Monitor R&M spend and trends, manage repair network performance, and identify opportunities to reduce cost per vehicle.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure fleet compliance with all applicable regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and state emissions requirements (e.g., CARB), as well as vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance administration. Support the risk and safety team on accident prevention programs and support claims resolution.
  • Capital Equipment (Fixed Assets): Asset Register & Accuracy: Maintain an accurate fixed asset register for capital equipment in partnership with Finance, ensuring asset records, locations, and assignments are current across all brands.
  • Capital Planning & Replacement: Build and maintain capital planning and replacement models for capital equipment, aligning replacement cycles with depreciation schedules, downtime risk, and field productivity.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee acquisition, deployment, redeployment, and disposal of capital equipment across brands, ensuring assets are utilized effectively before new purchases are approved.
  • Standardization: Define standard equipment specifications across brands to leverage purchasing scale and simplify maintenance and support.
  • Scope: Small tools and consumables below the company's capitalization threshold remain managed at the brand and warehouse level.
  • Facilities Operations: Facility Support & Expansion: Support facility expansion, relocations, renovations, and new site openings, including site evaluation, due diligence support, lease coordination, project oversight, and operational readiness.
  • License & Permit Management: Manage facility-related licenses, permits, and registrations across all brands, ensuring accurate records and timely renewals.
