Role Overview

The Fleet Operations Manager is the primary Fleet Department point of contact for an assigned Business Unit, ensuring that existing and upcoming projects or contracts have the needed assets to complete work and that Fleet functional teams are prepared to provide support.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Fleet Department as a key point of contact and liaison.
• Constantly engage with Operations Leadership within the assigned Business Unit.
• Assist Fleet functional teams to ensure the Business Unit receives excellent service and support.
• Distribute scheduled reporting to the Business Unit regarding asset utilization, maintenance & repair cost, damage cost, mobilization cost, fuel cost, and other key Fleet metrics.
• Plan and develop business cases to support fleet right sizing, asset procurement, and disposal.
• Communicate and present standard Fleet processes and documentation regularly.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in fleet and equipment operations, preferably in a large construction contractor or equipment vendor environment.
• Strong communication skills, ability to multi‑task, and solve complex problems involving multiple company departments and third parties.
• Strategic thinker who conducts long‑term planning to meet operational needs and departmental goals.
• Proficient in computer software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Viewpoint.
• Willingness to travel when necessary.
