• Clean and sanitize the blender and all support equipment.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Add raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.
• Drive a forklift to bring materials back and forth from the blender area.
• Verify and assure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.
• Discharge blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.
• Sample blended product.
• Package product in the prescribed package weight.
• Fill out the daily production report to document production, quality, and performance.
• Clean and sanitize the blender, sifter, and all support equipment.
• Sanitize the workstation and surrounding areas.
• Dispose of trash and garbage in dumpsters.
• Adhere to all department procedures and GMPs.
• Maintain all performance standards.

Skills and Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Communicate with individuals and small groups.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Complete Annual Operator Training.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear regularly.
• Lift and/or move up to 80 pounds regularly.
• Work and climb up to 60 ft. above ground.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions.
• Moderate noise level; hearing protection required in designated areas.
• Wear a respirator after a Doctor’s approval and successful fit and pulmonary test.

Salary range: $17.00 - $25.00. The actual compensation will depend on geography, skills, education, experience, and other relevant factors.
