Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Intern R&D - Consumer Product Development in Hunt Valley, MD. This is a 10-week internship (June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

The intern will work on daily product development activities, assist with a personal project, and present results. Responsibilities include sample prep, testing, data gathering, and cross-training with multiple departments to drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate junior or senior, or a graduate student in a relevant program.
• Relevant academic programs include Food Science, Culinary Science, Nutrition Science or other science.
• GPA overall minimum 3.0.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a lab or kitchen environment preferred.
• Data analysis experience preferred.
• Cooking skills: beginner required; intermediate preferred.
• Independent work and initiative are valued.
• Strong organization and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with McCormick employees on daily product development activities and a personal project.
• Present results to the team at internship end.
• Sample preparation, testing, and data gathering.
• Support internal product and process development teams hands-on.
• Collaborate with scientists to deliver ad hoc results timely.
• Prototype formulation, tech research and benchmarking.
• Cross-train with departments like Sensory Science, Process Development, Test Kitchen, and Culinary.
