Job summary

Tobacco Technology Inc. seeks a Director of Product Development & R&D to lead flavor development and science teams from concept to commercialization. You’ll align projects with strategy, manage timelines and resources, and drive process improvements across Development, R&D, Quality, Regulatory and Sales.

The role requires strong technical leadership, robust project management, and the ability to prioritize competing initiatives while delivering high-quality products on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in product development, food science, or flavor development in manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading scientists, flavorists, chemists, or other technical professionals.
• Strong formulation development and commercialization expertise.
• Experience transitioning products from lab to commercial manufacturing.
• Ability to evaluate technical and commercial implications of development decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of flavors and related products from concept to commercialization.
• Lead longer-term R&D strategy and identify new ingredients, technologies, and market trends.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Quality, Regulatory and executive leadership to align development work.
• Ensure documentation, change-control, and scale-up readiness for production."
• Provide regular performance updates to leadership.
• Manage and develop technical teams through growth periods.
