Job summary

The Spice & Tea Exchange of Northwest Arkansas is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to welcome Guests, share product knowledge, and help create a memorable in-store experience. This entry-level role centers on the selling floor—engaging Guests, learning product knowledge, processing transactions, and keeping the store stocked, clean, organized, and inviting.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable disposition and comfort engaging with Guests in a retail environment.
• Willingness and ability to learn product information and share that knowledge with Guests.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing Guest needs and assigned store tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and engage Guests, creating a friendly and enjoyable in-store experience.
• Learn about our products and confidently assist Guests with questions, product uses, and recommendations.
• Listen to Guest needs and suggest products and complementary items that help create a more complete shopping experience.
• Accurately process purchases and other approved transactions using the POS system.
• Maintain stock levels throughout the selling floor by replenishing shelves and displays.
• Help maintain product placement, pricing, labeling, and merchandising, including refreshing displays.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting Guest environment through routine cleaning and store upkeep.
• Follow established store procedures and complete required product and operational training.
• Assist with basic blending, packaging, stocking, and other store responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other store-related duties as assigned by the Owner, Manager, or Supervisor on duty.
