Job summary

CS Recruiting is seeking a Flatbed Operator in Tampa, Florida. This full-time position requires negotiating with carriers to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of freight while maintaining strong relationships. A competitive base salary is offered.

The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in Flatbed Carrier Sales and possess strong organizational and communication skills. You will work independently and thrive in a dynamic environment, ensuring operations are efficiently conducted.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior Flatbed Carrier Sales experience within a 3PL/Brokerage environment.
• Solid understanding of Spot Pricing/Quoting for Flatbed loads.
• Strong organizational skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and secure carriers for timely freight movement.
• Maintain communication with carriers and customers.
• Ensure timely pick-up, transport, and delivery of freight.
• Update information in the company’s operating system.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and secure carriers to move freight in a timely and cost-effective manner, while cultivating strong core carrier relationships.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process.
• Ensure that freight is picked up, transported and delivered on time to meet and/or exceed client’s expectations.
• Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns, or other issues as necessary.
• Schedule pick-up and delivery appointment times; must have insight into all factors affecting timeframe (weather, traffic, miles, service rules, etc.).
• Maintain and update accurate information in the company’s operating system.
• Find trucking companies that physically move clients’ freight using the company’s proprietary technology.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure that carrier charges are accurate.
• Always maintain awareness of operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• 2+ years of prior Flatbed Carrier Sales experience within a 3PL/Brokerage environment.
• Solid understanding & knowledge base of handling Spot Pricing/Quoting for Flatbed loads.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a positive attitude and desire to learn.
