Monro is hiring technicians in Shelby, NC for full-time or part-time, hourly positions with a flat-rate compensation model. Earn $25.00–$40.00 per hour, paid per task completed, with performance-based incentives and comprehensive benefits.

Technicians perform basic vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer specs. The role emphasizes safety, guest satisfaction, and continuous training through Monro University.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training including basic maintenance and repair.
• ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory MVR.
• Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to identify required repairs.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle and document needed services.
• Assist in inventory management and stocking.
• Maintain store cleanliness and guest-ready condition.
• Adhere to safety standards including wheel torque, oil safety and compliance procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per Monro’s Road Test policy and local laws.
• Follow company policies, governmental standards and OSHA requirements.
• Complete Monro University training modules.
• Operate equipment safely (lifts, welders, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
