Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Chantilly is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair vehicle systems per dealership and factory standards. The role emphasizes accurate troubleshooting, test drives, and ensuring safety and quality in every repair.

The technician will work in a busy automotive shop, using approved procedures and tools, while maintaining professionalism with customers and teammates. ASE certification is preferred, with opportunities to advance within the service department.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine repairs.
• Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs including engine, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Verify serviceability and ensure quality repairs via test drives and adjustments.
• Maintain clean work area and organization.
• Document all work performed on repair orders per procedures.
• Communicate with Service Advisor for additional work needs.
• Assist in writing work orders and interacting with customers as needed.
