Job summary

R.J. Corman Railroad Group is hiring for a full‑time role in Kentucky. The position involves operating heavy equipment, welding, driving CDL‑B vehicles, and maintaining heavy machinery in all weather conditions.

You will follow DOT regulations, perform physical tasks, lift up to 100 lbs, and communicate with the team and supervisor throughout the project. On‑the‑job training is provided with advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs. and work at heights over 25 feet.

Responsibilities

• Operate flash-butt welding equipment to repair rail.
• Safely drive, operate, and maintain CDL‑B required vehicles and equipment.
• Transport, operate, and service heavy equipment.
• Practice safe working habits and ensure proper PPE is being used.
• Maintain, clean, and set up equipment requiring use of small and large tools.
• Dig, hammer, and perform other physical tasks with various tools.
• Follow DOT regulations, ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed.
• Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
• Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process.
• Other duties as assigned
