Job summary

R.J. Corman Railroad Group is seeking a CDL-A Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer for construction work in Nicholasville, KY.

This full-time role involves extensive travel on a rotating 8-on/6-off schedule and performing physically demanding tasks outdoors with various heavy equipment. Qualified candidates will hold a CDL-A with manual endorsement and a DOT medical card, be comfortable with lifting, and enjoy working outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
• Valid CDL-A with no restrictions with manual endorsement and DOT medical card required.
• Lifting 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
• Love working outside!

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively in rotating schedule (typically 8 days on, 6 days off).
• Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
• Digging, hammering, and other physical types of work with various tools.
• Operate heavy or specialized equipment (i.e. Tripp Mach, Mark IV Tamper, TKO, Regulator, M320, Trackhoe, Dozer, Crane, etc.).
• Practice safe working habits and ensure proper PPE is being used.
• Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process.
• Other duties as assigned.
