Job summary

Safran Seats is seeking a Flammability Engineer to contribute to aerospace projects at our Gainesville, TX facility. You will prepare test plans and reports, support FAA certification, and review engineering drawings to ensure compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 1 year of experience preferred, with strong reporting and CAD skills. On-site position with opportunities for professional growth and industry exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to generate technical reports with at least 25 wpm.
• Ability to analyze engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare flammability test plans, reports, and other documents for FAA certification and compliance with airframe requirements.
• Conduct peer reviews of test plans and reports for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure products comply with FAA TSO requirements.
• Review and sign off on engineering drawings with verification of compliance.

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Material science, Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree.

• Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
• Must be able to generate technical reports with a minimum typing speed of 25 wpm.
• Must have the ability to analyze engineering drawings.
• Must be willing to perform tests and some physical work at the test laboratory, as required.
• Must have basic knowledge of CAD software
