Qualifications

• Flagger certified with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 1 year.
• Must have the ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites.
• Communicating with other flaggers using radios to direct traffic.
• Informing the crew of traffic issues affecting safety.
• Positioning warning and detour signs around sites.
• Setting up barricades and traffic cones and removing them after work.
