Job summary

Traffic Plan is hiring immediately for Flaggers in Lexington, VA. This full-time role requires no prior experience, but a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required. Expect to stand for 8–12 hours in varying weather and to lift up to 50 pounds.

Training, certification, and paid holidays after six months are offered, with incentive bonuses potential in the first year. Starting pay is $16.75 per hour with year-round work and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Comfortable standing 8–12 hours a day in any weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Regularly able to talk, hear, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Control movement of vehicular traffic.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers along site.
• Use signs, hand, and flag signals to control traffic through site.
• Warn workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals.
• Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
• Drive company trucks as needed.

• Controls movement of traffic through site using sign, hand, & flag signals.
• Warns construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident & injury to workers.
• Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
• Drive Company trucks as needed.
