Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Maritime degree and/or vessel experience desirable.
• 3–5 years of relevant maritime experience.

Responsibilities

• performing flag state safety inspections;
• conducting PSC detentions inspections for RMI-flagged vessels;
• conducting pre-registration inspections on vessels prior to registration;
• performing vetting and risk assessments per published guides;
• preparing safety inspection reports for review and processing;
• monitoring and troubleshooting the worldwide inspection scheduling program;
• tracking and closing deficiencies; reviewing inspection reports;
• standing watch as Duty Officer handling inquiries by phone and email;
• performing MSC audits including ISM/ISPS and MLC inspections;
• on-scene investigations supporting the Investigations Service Area;
• coordinating with Recognized Organizations acting for the RMI;
• responding to telephone and email inquiries; assisting with technical queries;
• other duties as assigned by SVP Fleet Operations or Fleet Operations Manager.
