Job summary

New Season is seeking licensed telecounselors to provide individual and group counseling via a HIPAA-compliant video platform for patients served in clinics nationwide. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet clinical needs and ensure comprehensive documentation and compliance.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in a Human Services field and are independently licensed (LMHC/LMFT/LCSW). Telecounselors may work remotely per program leadership and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Human Services related field and be independently licensed in counseling (LMHC, LMFT, LMHC or equivalent) in the state of hire.
• Knowledge and experience in substance abuse, Intensive Outpatient, Group, and telecounseling.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual and group counseling via synchronous video communication.

• Completes patient telecounseling screening, psychosocials, DAP notes, and treatment plans on time.

Job Summary

Telecounselors work within a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of Medical Director, Program Director,Treatment Services Coordinator , Counselors and Nurses to identify and meet the clinical needs of the patient and to assist in their overall well-being. All Telecounselors are responsible for completion of all patient, program and state related clinical documentation. Telecounselors are eligible for remote work arrangements, at the discretion of program leadership and must meet all requirements of the company telecommuting policy and department performance standards.

Telecounselors work within a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of Medical Director, Program Director,Treatment Services Coordinator , Counselors and Nurses to identify and meet the clinical needs of the patient and to assist in their overall well-being. All Telecounselors are responsible for completion of all patient, program and state related clinical documentation. Essential Functions

• Performs individual and group counseling with assigned patients via synchronous video communication.
• Educates patients in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
• Completes patient telecounseling screening, psychosocials, individual and group DAP notes, individualized treatment plan, reassessments and all other program related documentation within the required time frames.
• May work with patients to complete intake, admission, discharge and transfer paperwork.
• Documents patient progress and completes organization and state mandated forms in the Identified Electronic Health Record And Any Other Required Systems.
• Maintains file compliance in accordance with policy and procedure and completes timely correction to any documents or files that are found to be out of compliance.
• Identifies any clinical/case management needs and works to address those needs.
• Participate in a weekly Treatment Team at each center assigned.
• Establishes and maintains communication with assigned clinic leadership and support staff; responding to all emails within one (1) business day and maintaining a live updated shared calendar for patient scheduling purposes.
• Reports patient abuse, neglect and exploitation as required.
• Reports patient grievances as required.
• Coordinates Urine Drug Screens with clinic liaisons and completes any required documentation.
• Ensures the reading and understanding of the General, program and state specific Policy and Procedures Manuals.
• Ensures compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIP AA).
• Is responsible for obtaining and maintaining proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements and program needs.
• Actively participates in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF , the State, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and any other agency site visits as dictated by the state laws or regulations.
• Participates in all staff meetings and assigned clinic treatment team meetings as scheduled.
• Actively participates in both individual and group supervisions as scheduled.
• Ensures compliance with local, State, Federal and Colonial Management Group, LP rules, regulations and policies.
• Always acts in the best interests of the program and company; honors, supports, and protects the proprietary data and rights of the company.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by clinic, region or corporate leadership.

Education/Licensure/Certification

Qualified candidates will have a Master ' s degree in a Human Services related field and be independently licensed in counseling (LCSW , LMFT , LMHC or equivalent) in the state that they will support for a minimum of 1 year at the time of hire.

Required Knowledge

Master-level and Group knowledge.

Experience Required

Knowledge and experience in substance abuse, Intensive Outpatient, Group, and telecounseling.
