Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Visalia, CA, is seeking a manufacturing associate to prepare paper rolls for printing and support processing in the plant. You will perform duties from receiving rolls to winding, tagging, and housekeeping, ensuring safety and quality on the line.

The role offers a pay range of $19.12 to $21.10 per hour with a comprehensive benefits program and equal opportunity employment.

Responsibilities

• Set up Production Rolls Unwind
• Receive paper mill roll
• Cut covering off roll
• Place roll on track
• Prep machine
• Cut off tags
• Cut two layers of paper and tape paper
• Load paper on winding machine.
• Remove core plugs
• Remove metal band
• Set up Production Rolls Rewind
• Once roll comes out of printing press, cut sample for operator.
• Tape roll
• Take air out of shaft
• Put tags inside roll and stick tags on outside of roll
• Place core plugs
• Strap the paper roll
• Push out with roll pusher for pickup.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment around press.

Preparing paper rolls for printing before preparing printed paper roll for transfer to other processing area within the plant.

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:

Comply with all quality standards. Remain focused on safety throughout the shift and perform all work in a safe manner without taking shortcuts. Report injuries immediately to your supervisor and any potential safety hazards observed.

Comply with all safety standards. Produce quality product by not accepting defective material into work center, not making defective products at work station, not passing defects to internal customers and by reporting potential quality issues.

Comply with all sanitation standards. Practice good sanitation and housekeeping practicing to maintain the appearance and condition of the operating facility.

Pay: $ 19.12 - $21.10
