General Motors is seeking a Fixed Operations Specialist to support Zone and District Parts and Service Managers across Michigan and surrounding states. This field-based role requires up to 75% travel to dealerships and may require relocation to Detroit or Southeast Michigan.

You will drive KPI performance, assist with inventory, warranty, training, and customer experience initiatives, and develop action plans with regional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of fixed operations experience guiding and improving operations.
  • Automotive parts and service operations knowledge including warranty and customer experience.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ domestically across multiple states within the region.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted advisor to Zone and District Parts and Service Managers, guiding and supporting to meet business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth, KPI performance, and effective execution of Customer Care and Aftersales programs.
  • Identify and resolve Zone and District needs across inventory, warranty, customer experience, retention, training, and EV compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and document action plans to address performance gaps and opportunities.
  • Partner with regional and field teams to ensure execution aligns with goals and metrics.

## Fixed Operations SpecialistApply: Remote: Remote - Michigan: Full time: Posted Today: JR-202620228**Job Description****Field Work Arrangement:** This is a field-based position that requires up to 75% travel to dealerships within the assigned territory on a recurring basis. The selected candidate must currently reside within the Michigan or Ohio territory or be willing to relocate to Detroit, Southeast Michigan, or a surrounding area approved by leadership within 60 days of the start date. **The Role** The Fixed Operations Specialist has the territorial responsibilities of empowering a cohesive and adaptable team of Zone and District Managers who integrate parts and service functions on a day-to-day basis. They may be involved in a variety of initiatives including training, coaching, as well as process integration, tools development, performance and analysis reports and business planning. **What You'll Do (Responsibilities)** * Serve as a trusted advisor to Zone and District Parts and Service Managers, providing guidance and support to achieve business objectives.* Drive revenue growth, key performance indicator (KPI) performance, and effective execution of Customer Care and Aftersales programs and initiatives.* Identify, address, and resolve Zone and District business needs across areas such as inventory management, warranty, customer experience, retention, training, and electric vehicle compliance.* Develop, implement, and document action plans to address performance gaps, business challenges, and emerging opportunities.* Partner with regional and field teams to ensure execution aligns with business goals, performance metrics, and established action plans. **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)** * Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience* 5+ years of relevant experience, guiding and improving fixed operations* Proficient automotive industry knowledge and business acumen including parts, service operations, warranty administration and customer experience* Ability to travel >50% of the time domestically, cross multiple states within the region* Must possess and maintain the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in accordance with the licensing requirements of the states in which work is performed **What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)** * Experience leveraging dealer performance and financial reporting tools to drive business insights and operational improvements.* Strong consultative and relationship management skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.* Results-oriented professional with demonstrated success leading change and driving business outcomes.* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.* Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.* Proven ability to think strategically, adapt quickly, and lead in remote or matrixed environments.* Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement mindset.* Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, adaptability, and accountability.* Strong customer focus with the ability to navigate complex situations and resolve conflict effectively.GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
