Qualifications

• Six months to two years of trading experience in investment and securities industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of fixed‑income securities and their markets, trading characteristics and price trends.
• Experience valuing and pricing fixed‑income securities.
• Knowledge of trade-related activities on securities exchange floors and electronic trading systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the profitable execution of fixed-income securities purchases and sales to satisfy the needs of investment portfolio managers and customers.
• Executes buy and sell orders for fixed-income securities at prices that are advantageous, considering order size, trading supply and market conditions.
• Maintains records of all transactions to ensure accurate accounting in compliance with policies.
• Maintains relationships with brokers and securities dealers and negotiates prices.
• Provides sound information and recommendations on market trends, pricing, and timing to investment teams.
