Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Fixed Income Trade Operations Analyst in Irvine, CA to perform trade confirmation, processing, and settlement across fixed income and FX trades. The role requires analytical problem-solving and collaboration with traders and compliance teams in a fast-paced environment.

The position is a W-2 contract (1 year) with a hybrid schedule (onsite Mon–Thu, Fri with WFH). Proficiency with Aladdin and related platforms is preferred.

Fixed Income Trade Operations Analyst (JN -102026-433079) Irvine, California

Salary: USD55 - USD61.39 per hour

W-2 Contract

Duration - 1 Year

Location - Irvine, CA 92618

Pay Range - $55 to $61/hour

Schedule - Monday to Thursday onsite, Friday WFH. 6:30am to 7:30am start time, followed by an 8 hour day

About Fixed Income Trade Operations Analysts

The Fixed Income Trade Operations Analyst works as part of a global team performing and reviewing exception handling, across the full range of accounts and products and for all levels of complexity. They apply experience and judgement to analyzing exceptions, identifying the appropriate course of action, determining who should be involved in resolving the issue, and implementing solutions. For particularly complex/ambiguous issues, they work with the Senior Analyst to determine the appropriate course of action.

Role summary

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge in their assigned area and obtains guidance from the Senior Analyst, as needed. Performs daily production and delivery of work to identify, assess, and resolve exceptions for a specific area of focus. Operates as a technical subject matter expert for their area. Applies knowledge, experience, sound judgement, and business acumen, to analyze, assess, recommend, and implement solutions in a timely manner and in response to identified exceptions with oversight from the Senior Analyst, as necessary. Collaborates with other Fixed Income Operations facing departments (e.g., portfolio analysis group, legal & compliance, trading, core operations, and vendors) to diagnose and resolve issues. Performs and/or monitors more complex operational duties for investment vehicles servicing the Institutional, Retail, and High-Net Worth distribution channels. Performs trade confirmation, processing, and settlement functions

Experience / Expectations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work in a face paced deadline driven environment.
• Identify, process and resolve trade discrepancies related to fixed income and foreign exchange trade confirmation and settlement functions. Ability to independently resolve low to mid-level complexity trade /settlement issues. For complex/ambiguous issues, will collaborate with Senior Analyst on best course of action.
• Highly proficient in Blackrock Aladdin, comfortable with partnering with senior analyst and Blackrock Solution (BRS) to resolve technical issues.
• Experience with 3 rd party / industry platforms including custodian bank portals. These include but are not limited to Aladdin, DTCC/CTM, Misys, CLS, ALERT, TradeWeb, etc.
• Provide excellent (white glove) service to traders and key stakeholders (legal, investment group, other investment operational teams).
• Ability to apply a global mindset and partner with associates in various regions when working through issues or developing solutions
• Self-driven (e.g., independently manage workload and achieve target outcomes)
• Work effectively across internal and external stakeholder groups with the appropriate level of urgency to solve issues and deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
• Strong collaboration skills, working within and across teams and stakeholder groups to proactively develop strong working relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including with senior stakeholders/leadership with a focus on being able to communicate 'the why' behind issues
