Job summary

Piper Sandler is seeking interns for our Fixed Income Services business line for Summer 2027 in New York, NY. The 10-week internship provides exposure to Municipal Underwriting, Trading, Credit Trading, and more across Fixed Income disciplines.

You will participate in a Senior Management speaker series, desk teach-ins, and a capstone project. Applicants should have a 3.0+ GPA, strong writing and speaking skills, and be open to developing in a fast-paced finance environment.

Qualifications

• Open to rising juniors and seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Interest in Finance but a finance major is not required.
• Prepare for and take the SIE exam per guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of client verticals and how they interact with fixed income products.
• Support the finance team with various projects.
• Utilize back-office systems and collaborate with support groups.
• Assist sales teams and learn product sales to the buyside.
• Support trading and underwriting teams across new issue and secondary markets.
