Job summary

Piper Sandler is seeking interns for the Fixed Income Services division for Summer 2027 in Minneapolis, MN. The 10-week program covers Municipal Underwriting, Credit Trading, Strategy & Analytics, Treasury, Agency Underwriting, Mortgage-Backed Securities, Public Finance, Fixed Income Sales, and more.

Participants will attend senior speaker series, desk teach-ins, and a capstone project, finishing with a final presentation and performance review.

Qualifications

Open to rising juniors and rising seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Interest in Finance but a major in Finance is not required for employment.
Prepare for and take the SIE exam per guidelines.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Comfortable knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Tableau.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of client verticals and fixed income products.
Support the finance and fixed income teams on various projects.
Utilize back-office systems and work with support groups.
Assist sales teams and learn how products are sold to the buyside.
Support trading and underwriting teams in the new issue and secondary market processes.
Assist with publications of weekly commentary.
