Job summary

Nearwater Capital is seeking a qualified operations professional to join its US Liquid Markets team in New York. The role focuses on front-to-back fixed income workflows, including settlement, lifecycle management, and reconciliations, with an emphasis on efficiency and risk controls.

You will partner with trading desks, counterparties, and technology to optimize processes, automate reporting, and strengthen operational controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience in a financial services organization supporting fixed income operations.
• Operational functions: Settlements, Lifecycle Management, Reconciliations, Trade Support and Corporate Actions with Global Markets.
• Product knowledge: fixed income products; Repo and Commercial Paper experience desirable.
• Familiar with financial markets, trade lifecycle and technology; Enfusion a plus.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis/automation tools (Alteryx, Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI) to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Self‑motivated, proactive team player with ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, high‑volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of fixed income conduits and settlement of commercial paper.
• Provide lifecycle management support for fixed income products and track issuance/maturity of short‑term paper.
• Manage trade settlements for commercial paper and repo transactions, including confirmations, broker/custodian communication, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
• Conduct control reconciliations to ensure booking accuracy between internal systems and external records.
• Assist in process improvements and system enhancements and support change requests.
• Act as a point of contact for client settlement queries and escalations.
• Participate in firmwide and departmental projects to streamline workflows and reduce operational risk.
• Build and maintain automated dashboards and reconciliations for asset‑pool monitoring and cash‑flow tracking.
• Partner with Technology to enhance system functionality and implement data validation checks.
