Job summary

Nearwater Capital in New York City is seeking a Trader to support trade execution, booking, and settlement across ABS, CLO, CMBS, and RMBS financing positions. You will work closely with senior traders and the Capital Markets and Liquid Markets desks to ensure timely and accurate trade processing.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of hands-on experience in fixed income trading, strong Excel skills, and a meticulous, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in fixed income trading.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Clear communicator who can flag issues early and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Support trade execution and booking across Risk Retention financing and securities.
• Confirm trade details with counterparties and internal stakeholders; resolve discrepancies.
• Track positions, settlements, and cash movements; escalate breaks to senior traders.
• Coordinate with Operations and Settlements on trade lifecycle events.
• Maintain accurate trade and position records across internal systems.
• Support ad hoc market and portfolio analysis for the trading desk.
