Job summary

Piper Sandler & Co. seeks an Associate-level Attorney to join its Legal team in New York, NY, focusing on fixed income, finance and structured finance. You will draft and negotiate documents, coordinate with deal teams, and assist with client communications.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years’ experience in finance or structured finance, a JD from an accredited law school, and NY bar admission; strong drafting and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active NY State Bar in good standing.
• Experience in Finance, Banking, or Structured Finance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate primary and ancillary finance documents (credit agreements, security agreements, intercreditor agreements) using LSTA/LMA frameworks.
• Assist in structured finance transactions including warehouse facilities, asset-based lending, and securitizations.
• Independently manage transaction workstreams and coordinate with deal teams and outside counsel.
• Participate in client calls and meetings; respond to client requests promptly and professionally.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise internal stakeholders on potential impact.
• Manage outside counsel and legal expenses; assist with third-party matters and NDAs.
