Job summary

Manulife is seeking an Investment Analyst, Fixed Income to provide timely, accurate analysis and buy/hold/sell recommendations across the Industrials sector. You will develop models, assess market trends, and present findings to portfolio teams.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, collaboration with senior staff, and familiarity with AI tools. This hybrid Boston-based position supports senior investment staff in building high-performing portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; may hold advanced degree and/or CFA designation.
• Typically 2+ years in asset management or 0-3+ years in dedicated investment analysis.
• Strong organizational and analytic skills for detailed fundamental analysis.
• Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to articulate technical information with conviction.
• Familiarity with AI-tools preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze companies, interpret market trends, and provide information for investment decisions.
• Meet with management and sell-side analysts to discuss outlook and provide reviews.
• Develop and update investment models with issuer data and market trends.
• Make buy, sell, or hold recommendations to senior staff.
• Conduct credit analysis and assess trends across fixed-income sectors.
• Build financial models incorporating investment guidelines for security selections.
