Job summary

Fitch Ratings seeks an Analyst for coverage of the Industrials, Diversified Manufacturing sector based out of our New York, Chicago, or Toronto office. The role focuses on qualitative and quantitative credit analysis, building financial models, and presenting insights to senior teams.

The position requires a strong academic background, CFA/CPA or CFA candidacy, and 8+ years in credit or capital markets. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced, global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred.
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus.
• Expertise in Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change.
• Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.
• Relevant experience 8+ years, especially coverage or knowledge of the Natural Resources sectors.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of Diversified Manufacturing companies in the Industrials & Transportation (I&T) team.
• Maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Participate alongside senior analysts in meetings with I&T industry management teams.
• Help senior analysts prepare presentations for internal credit rating committees.
• Participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates, as well as other related credit groups.
